1. What this product is

CV Forge is a browser-based CV editor. It is separate from the CVMint Android app and from other PCN websites.

2. Local-first

You do not need an account. CV text, photos you add, and settings are stored in this browser (local storage). We do not run a cloud database of your resume for the core builder.

3. Hosting logs

The web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser, URL, time) to operate and secure the site. These are not linked to the CV stored in your browser.

4. Export

Export downloads a PDF to your device. Sharing that file with an employer or another app is under that party’s terms.

5. Third-party scripts

The editor loads html2canvas and jsPDF from a public CDN so PDF export works. Those providers process the request to fetch the library, not your CV content.

5a. Optional analytics

If Google Analytics is configured on this domain, we receive aggregated page views. We do not send CV text. You can set localStorage.cvforge-analytics = "off" in the browser console to skip it.

5b. Optional public lookups

If you type a job title, the browser may query the public ESCO API (European Commission) with that title only, to suggest occupations and related skill names. If you type a location, the browser may query REST Countries with the country fragment. We do not send your full CV, photo, email, or phone to those services. You can ignore the suggestions and type everything yourself.

5c. Sample portraits

Template previews and example CVs use generated sample portraits, not photos of you. Replace them with your own picture before you send a CV.

6. Contact

If you email us, we use the message only to reply. We do not add you to a marketing list.
