FAQ

Questions about CV Forge

Is CV Forge free?

Yes. Templates, editing, and PDF export are free. No account is required.

Will a job website read my CV?

Some employers use software to store applications. We are not that software and we do not test against it. For online forms, pick a Plain template (one column, no photo). For email or print, a designed layout is usually finer to look at. Always open the PDF and check it.

Should I use a template in 2026?

Yes, if you customise it. A template is a starting layout — dates, results, and keywords still have to be yours, and they should match the job.

PDF or Word?

PDF keeps spacing and fonts intact, which is what most recruiters expect. Build in CV Forge, then export a new PDF.

Is this the same as CVMint or CV Pilot?

No. This site is a standalone web builder at cv.pcnforge.com. It is not the Android app and not the older CV Pilot page on the PCN-Apps site.
